Bryan Kelly, LMFT
As a mental health therapist with ten-plus years of experience and a competing athlete myself, I’ve come to appreciate how integral emotional and physical resilience are. Managing everyday life with physical fitness can seem like an overwhelming and at times, impossible balancing act. Through a multifaceted and down to earth approach, I work with athletes in the development of practical coping strategies that work whether one is stuck in their own head or on the court. Whether they are facing hardships in interpersonal relationships at home or having a hard time keeping up with training. Regardless of the type of athlete, I make sure that what works in the therapy office will always translate practically in my client’s lives.
Just as when we train, practice or run scrimmages, my therapy office provides a space for athletes to work through areas of concern and hone necessary strengths. I pride myself on integrating person centered therapy along with eclectic coping skills in order to best support my clients in whatever psychology battles they face.
If there is one thing that I can say for certain, it’s this: You can only fortify true resilience by putting in the hard work. Let’s start today.
